The PDP focuses on developing entry-level staff knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet GAO’s mission through work experiences, training, and ongoing coaching and feedback throughout a 2-year program. Staff are generally rotated among GAO’s mission teams or placed in staff offices.
A small, experienced team coordinates mentorship, professional development, and other activities for the PDP staff across the agency. This team also partners with managers to assist in performance assessments and reviews for PDP entry-level staff.
