Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO reviewed allegations of fraud, waste, and abuse in the operations of Arlington National Cemetery, focusing on: (1) cemetery expenditures associated with superintendent relocation; (2) the renovation of the superintendent's lodge at the cemetery; and (3) the appropriateness of rental payments the superintendent is making.
