Summaries of Conclusions and Recommendations on the Operations of Civil Departments and Agencies

This report is a summary of GAO conclusions and recommendations resulting from audits and other review work in Federal civil departments and agencies. The information was complied to assist congressional committees in their review of budget requests for Fiscal Year 1980. Previous GAO reports have brought these matters to the attention of congressional and department officials. Although suggested questions to be asked during appropriation hearings are not included, GAO will suggest specific questions on the items summarized if desired.
