Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO reviewed the Army's use of commercial components in tactical trucks, focusing on: (1) whether the Army could meet its tactical truck requirements by purchasing commercial trucks; (2) modifications contractors need to make to existing commercial trucks to meet the Army's requirements; and (3) the Army's requirements that limit the use of commercial trucks.
