Department of Defense The Secretary of Defense should ensure that the Army deploys proven test equipment with electronic warfare systems so that they can be effectively maintained. In implementing this recommendation, the Secretary should require that controls be established over the Army's electronic warfare system operational test programs to ensure that tests are valid demonstrations of system test equipment performance.
Closed – Not Implemented
Although DOD agreed with the recommendation, the DOD response indicated that no action was to be taken. Instead, DOD cited its policies which, if followed, would meet the intent of the recommendation.
