Department of the Navy The Secretary of the Navy should direct the Commanding Officer, NARDAC District of Columbia, to ensure that actions taken to improve overall management controls will result in a chargeback system that accumulates and reports current and complete cost information.
Closed – Implemented
NARDAC, Washington, D.C., purchased an IBM chargeback system in September 1989. This will resolve the deficiency identified in the report.
Department of the Navy The Secretary of the Navy should direct the Commanding Officer, NARDAC District of Columbia, to ensure that its required budget exhibit to Congress is revised to accurately reflect all system development costs.
Closed – Implemented
The Navy's subsequent FY 1990 through 1991 budget submission accurately reported NARDAC, Washington, D.C. costs.
