Recommendations for Executive Action
|United States Postal Service||1. The Regional Postmaster General of the Central Region should assure that the Evansville Postmaster abides by the sick leave call-in policy set forth in the local contract.|
|United States Postal Service||2. The Regional Postmaster General of the Central Region should assure that the Evansville Postmaster develops a system to record and monitor disciplinary actions so that supervisors and managers can be evaluated on their labor relations performance.|
|United States Postal Service||3. The Regional Postmaster of the Central Region's District Office should, to maintain a healthy and productive work environment and to assure that the situation does not return to its previous state, closely monitor events at Evansville. If the situation shows signs of deteriorating, a way should be found to free the Evansville Post Office from disruptive forces. Turmoil followed by a series of investigations should not be allowed to recur.|
