Highlights

A firm protested a Department of Veterans Affairs contract award for fire sprinkler and alarm systems, contending that the: (1) awardee improperly entered prices for three deductive alternate bid items, which caused its bid to be inconsistent with the solicitation requirements; and (2) awardee's low bid should be rejected as nonresponsive. GAO held that the awardee's pricing method: (1) did not prejudice the other bidders; and (2) was responsive to the solicitation requirement. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
