[Protests of Army Corps of Engineers Contract Awards for Building Construction]

Highlights

A firm protested several Army contract awards for building construction, contending that the Army failed to properly apply an evaluation preference to its bid based on its status as a small disadvantaged business. GAO held that the Army properly did not apply the evaluation preference, since the contracts: (1) exceeded $25,000; and (2) were for construction, which was precluded from the preference under the regulations. Accordingly, the protests were dismissed.
