Highlights

The United States Customs Service asked whether an employee could be reimbursed for travel expenses incurred in his voluntary return to his official duty station from his temporary duty station for the weekend. Since the cost of the employee's trip was less than the subsistence expenses he would have been entitled to had he remained at the temporary duty site, the reimbursement was allowed and payment was authorized.
