Payment of Family Separation Allowance

First Lieutenant S. Morris, an Accounting and Finance Officer, U.S. Air Force, requested an advance decision concerning the payment of Family Separation Allowance to a member of the Air Force. This allowance was not authorized to an otherwise eligible member who was legally separated from his spouse since his separation from her resulted from personal considerations rather than his military assignment.
