Temporary Quarters Allowance

An Authorized Certifying Officer requested a decision concerning an employee's claim for reimbursement of temporary quarters allowance, claiming he was unable to occupy his mobile home for 5 days after its arrival at his new duty station, 29 miles from his former station. The claim was allowed, since the uninhabitability of the mobile home was considered equivalent to the nonarrival of household goods.
