Claim for Retroactive Adjustment of Military Retired Pay

A service member requests reconsideration of a settlement which allowed a retroactive adjustment in retired pay for a 6-year period but barred payment prior to that period. The member seeks adjustment for all unpaid retired pay entitlements for 10 years preceding the date the Army contacted him about his eligibility for payment adjustments. He further contends he is without fault for the delay in the filing of his claim. The previous decision is upheld and the member's claim for payment adjustments for the entire 10-year period is denied because of the 1975 statute of limitations concerning claims against the Government.
