Claim for Costs of Moving Household Goods Prior to Issuance of Separation Orders

An advance decision was requested with regard to a claim for reimbursement of expenses incident to storage and moving of household goods incurred prior to the issuance of separation orders. The claim may not be allowed since the member had the household goods packed and placed in storage one and one half months prior to the issuance of his separation orders and did not have the official statement required by the Joint Travel Regulations that he had been advised in advance that such order would be forthcoming.
