Results Act: NRC's Annual Performance Plan for Fiscal Year 1999

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO reviewed the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRC) annual performance plan for fiscal year (FY) 1999, focusing on: (1) the extent to which the plan provides a clear picture of intended performance across the agency; (2) whether the plan discusses the strategies and the resources the agency will use to achieve its performance goals; and (3) whether the plan provides confidence that the agency's performance information will be credible.
