Overhead Costs: Defense Industry Initiatives to Control Overhead Rates

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO reviewed initiatives taken by six individual business units of large defense contractors to reduce overhead costs, focusing on whether the units' actions would avoid increases in overhead rates.
