Fiscal Year 1996 VA Certification

Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO reported on the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB) compliance with the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) appropriations legislation. GAO noted that OMB has: (1) certified that it provided to VA all funds authorized by the 1996 continuing resolution; (2) authorized the number of full-time-equivalent employees that VA requested in its budget submission; and (3) complied with the legislative reporting requirements.
