Department of Education: Status of Actions to Improve the Management of Student Financial Aid

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO reviewed the Department of Education's student financial aid programs, focusing on the: (1) status of Education actions in response to numerous recommendations concerning the administration of student financial aid programs; and (2) reasons Education gave for not acting on some recommendations.
