General Services Administration To more effectively monitor and assess progress and better hold program officials accountable for full implementation of GAO recommendations, the Administrator of General Services should modify the action plan to include effective and fully documented strategies for all of the recommendations.
Closed – Implemented
The GSA Audit Resolution Office directed the responsible officials to revise and update their action plans. The revised action plans were reviewed and the effectiveness assessed by Audit Resolution staff members.
General Services Administration To more effectively monitor and assess progress and better hold program officials accountable for full implementation of GAO recommendations, the Administrator of General Services should improve the action plan follow-up process by ensuring an adequate assessment of planned and completed actions to determine whether they satisfactorily address the recommendations.
Closed – Implemented
The GSA Audit Resolution Office has revised its follow-up process to include a follow-up review 6 months after the responsible officials report that all actions have been completed.
