Liability for Shortage of Funds

This document addresses a letter from the Chief, Financial Services Branch, which requests that a Peace Corps employee in Palau, Western Caroline Islands, Micronesia, be relieved of liability for a shortage of funds in his custody. 

GAO determined the discovered loss of funds was due to a burglary and not employee fault or negligence.
