Highlights

A firm protested an Air Force delivery order for dormitory furniture, contending that the Air Force improperly rejected its low bid. GAO held that the Air Force: (1) reasonably rejected the protester's low bid, since its proposed furniture did not meet its minimum requirements and its bid was not the best value to the government; and (2) properly made award to the higher priced bidder, since its furniture was on the federal supply schedule and satisfied its minimum needs. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
