Military Construction: Response to Funding Questions

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO reviewed the Department of Defense's (DOD) construction activities for fiscal year (FY) 1990, focusing on: (1) the DOD FY 1991 budget request for military construction; (2) DOD construction financing regulations; (3) the background of the requested funding for the large blast thermal simulator at two military facilities; and (4) whether the funding classification for selected repair projects estimated to cost over $500,000 each is proper.
