This article identifies the characteristics common to three evaluations of national food and nutrition programs that contributed to their significant impact on program and agency operations. The primary factors included the: (1) establishment of evaluation teams; (2) participation of evaluation team members throughout the evaluation process; and (3) implementation of developed dissemination plans for findings and conclusions.
