Highlights

A firm requested reconsideration of its denied protest against the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) rejection of its bid for aircraft pistons. GAO had held that the protester was not prejudiced by the DLA delay in notifying it about qualification requirements for alternate products. In its request for reconsideration, the protester contended that: (1) it submitted adequate technical data for DLA to qualify its product; and (2) DLA required an unreasonably lengthy product qualification period. GAO held that: (1) the protester failed to show that the product qualification time was unreasonable; and (2) DLA reasonably determined that the protester failed to submit sufficient technical data for product qualification. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
