Highlights
A firm protested a Navy contract award for maintenance services, contending that: (1) the Navy improperly allowed the awardee to correct its defective bid bond after bid opening; (2) the bid was nonresponsive because the awardee's individual sureties' assets were identical; and (3) the bid bond was otherwise defective. GAO held that the Navy did not allow the awardee to correct the bid bond after bid opening, but determined that the bid was responsive because the bid bond was not defective. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
