Highlights

A small business firm requested reconsideration of a GAO decision involving a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) procurement. That decision denied the firm's protest that the procurement should have been set aside for small business because, with certain exceptions, nothing in the Small Business Act mandates that any particular procurement be set aside for small business. In its reconsideration request, the protester stated that DLA improperly considered big business producers to the detriment of small firms capable of satisfying the Government's needs. However, DLA has awarded the contract to the protester as the low bidder. Therefore its request for reconsideration was academic and was dismissed.
