Reimbursement of Cost of Shipping Privately Owned Vehicle

An Authorized Certifying Officer requested a decision concerning an employee claim. A Customs Service employee who transferred from Boston, Massachusetts, to Nogales, Arizona, and traveled by air requested reimbursement for the cost of shipping his automobile and for automobile rental. The employee could not be reimbursed for the cost of shipping the automobile, but the employee was eligible for the cost of travel from the airport in Tucson to the duty station in Nogales.
