Time Limitation on Movement of Household Goods and Personal Effects Incident to Relocation

An advance decision was requested regarding an employee's claim for reimbursement of the costs of transporting his household goods and personal effects. The employee, who was separated from Government service in Alaska because of disability in l971, did not request authorization of payment for the transportation of his personal property to the continental United States until 1975. The employee was not entitled to reimbursement for expenses incurred in the transportation of his personal property because that transportation was performed after the expiration of the 2-year limitation period.
