Highlights

The former wife of a Navy member requested reconsideration of a settlement disallowing her claim for reimbursement of the costs of moving her household effects from Government quarters to a separate residence and for a transfer to a new location. The member's wife was not entitled to reimbursement for the move to separate quarters since it was not incident to a permanent change of station for the member. The former wife was also not entitled to utilization of the member's entitlement to household goods transportation to a home selected for his retirement, despite a court divorce judgement directing the member to make arrangements with the Navy for such transportation, in the absence of statutes and regulations permitting such transportation at Government expense.
