For nearly two decades, the U.S. Government Accountability Office was led by Gene L. Dodaro, an auditor who came up-through the ranks of the agency and was sworn in as 8th Comptroller General of the United States in 2010. During his final days at the agency, we sat down with Gene to talk about his tenure at GAO, how the agency and issues it audits have changed, and what he sees at the future of GAO’s efforts.
