Testimony: Reducing Federal Real Property Holdings

GAO Director David Marroni testified on April 8, 2025 before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency about the federal government's challenges to manage a vast real estate portfolio such as problems identifying and letting go of unneeded property, keeping up maintenance and security, and more. This issue has been on GAO's High Risk List since 2003.
