Refugee Resettlement: Initial Reception and Placement Assistance

Pursuant to a congressional request, GAO provided information on the initial resettlement assistance provided to refugees entering the United States, focusing on: (1) what assistance the voluntary agencies (volags) agree to deliver; (2) how volags provide assistance; and (3) whether volags are fulfilling their agreements.
