Legislative Branch Reductions

Pursuant to a legislative requirement, GAO provided information on whether legislative branch entities complied with the 1994 Legislative Branch Appropriations Act to reduce their full-time equivalent (FTE) positions and administrative expenses for fiscal year (FY) 1994. GAO noted that all of the legislative branch agencies: (1) fully complied with the mandated FY 1994 FTE and administrative expense reductions; (2) provided detailed accounts of how the reductions were achieved; and (3) provided information on how the reductions were calculated and categorized.
