Highlights

GAO provided information on federal job information services available to Arkansas residents. GAO found that: (1) since there is no Federal Job Information Center (FJIC) in Arkansas, residents must call either a commercial job information center or contact the Oklahoma City FJIC; (2) the Oklahoma City FJIC is difficult to telephone because lines are often busy; and (3) in 3 instances, information specialists at the Oklahoma City FJIC answered questions inaccurately or incompletely. GAO noted that Arkansas residents trying to obtain information on federal employment from the Oklahoma City FJIC could face frustrations, delays, and the possibility of inaccurate or incomplete information.
