Highlights

GAO reviewed the Department of Homeland Seucrity, Transportation Secuirty Administration's (TSA) new rule on the Secure Flight Program. GAO found that (1) the final rule establishes TSA's Secure Flight program, under which TSA will receive passenger and certain non-traveler information, compare that information to the No Fly and Selectee portions of the federal government's consolidated terrorist watch-list, and transmit a printed boarding pass result to the aircraft operators; and (2) that TSA complied with the applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
