GAO reviewed the Department of Interior, Fish and Wildlife Service's new rule on migratory bird hunting. GAO found that (1) the rule prescribes the hunting seasons, hours, areas, and daily bag and possession limits of various migratory birds in the contiguous Untied States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands and some extended falconry seasons; and (2) the Service complied with applicable requirements in promulgating the rule.
