[IRS Employee's Claim for TQSE]

The Internal Revenue Service requested a decision concerning an employee's claim for additional temporary quarters subsistence expenses (TQSE) pursuant to his transfer to a new duty station. GAO held that the employee was not entitled to the additional TQSE, since he could have occupied his new permanent residence during its refurbishment. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
