[Protest of DISC Purchase Order Award for Nut and Bolt Retainers]

A firm protested a Defense Industrial Supply Center (DISC) contract award for nut and bolt retainers, contending that: (1) DISC improperly awarded the contract, since it submitted the low bid; and (2) the cost impact DISC calculated for delayed delivery was excessive. GAO held that: (1) DISC reasonably determined that the awardee was the low bidder; and (2) the protester untimely filed its protest regarding the price adjustments. Accordingly, the protest was dismissed.
