[Protest of Air Force Contract Award for Office Space Renovation]
Highlights
A firm protested an Air Force contract award for office space renovation, contending that the Air Force: (1) improperly permitted the awardee to correct its bid error; (2) did not question the credibility of the awardee's evidence supporting its intended bid price; and (3) improperly accepted the awardee's proposed subcontractor markup. GAO held that the Air Force reasonably accepted the awardee's modified bid, since the: (1) protester presented no evidence that the awardee prepared its worksheets after submitting its bid or altered them after bid opening; (2) awardee would be the low bidder with or without bid modification; and (3) awardee presented clear evidence of its bid error and intended bid price. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
