[Air Force Members' Entitlement to Allowance for Quarters]

The Defense Finance and Accounting Service requested a determination whether two married Air Force members were each entitled to a dependent housing allowance when stationed at different locations. GAO held that each spouse qualified for the dependent allowance or housing, since each was assigned, under competent military orders, to different locations and each was accompanied by a dependent. Accordingly, the claim was allowed.
