A firm protested an Air Force contract award for a burglar alarm system, contending that the Air Force: (1) improperly failed to reopen discussions to consider its price modification; and (2) should have accepted the late price modification. GAO held that the Air Force: (1) reasonably determined not to reopen discussions; and (2) properly rejected the late bid modification. Accordingly, the protest was denied.
