Highlights

A retired Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) employee claimed reimbursement for moving expenses paid by his private-sector employer after his retirement from the FBI. GAO held that the claimant did not: (1) incur any out-of-pocket expenses and payment by the FBI would duplicate payment; and (2) qualify for last-home-move benefits because he was not in a Senior Executive Service (SES) position or transferred to SES at the time of his transfer. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
