[Decision Concerning Appeal of Claims Group's Denial of Air Force Employee's Claim for Restoration of Forfeited Annual Leave]

An Air Force employee claimed restoration of leave that he forfeited when he cancelled his planned retirement, contending that the Air Force's failure to counsel him regarding leave forfeiture constituted an administrative error. GAO held that the: (1) Air Force properly notified the claimant of the possible forfeiture; and (2) claimant did not otherwise qualify for leave restoration. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
