Highlights

A former Navy civilian employee appealed his denied claim for additional compensation, contending that the Navy erroneously set his salary upon his return from an overseas assignment. GAO held that the claimant was not entitled to additional compensation, since he: (1) accepted a demotion to return to his prior position; and (2) received pay at his highest previous rate at the time of his reemployment. Accordingly, the claim was denied.
