Highlights

The Air Force requested a decision concerning enlisted airmen's entitlement to selective reenlistment bonuses after early separation. GAO held that, since the airmen's discharge from service was unrelated to their reenlistment, the Air Force should count the full reenlistment period as additional obligated service in computing their reenlistment bonuses. Accordingly, the Air Force should allow reenlistment bonuses.
