Highlights

In response to a request from the Bureau of Reclamation, GAO reviewed the question of whether a bicycle trailer can be included in the definition of household goods in the case of an employee's transfer costs. GAO held that certain items in the nature of personal recreation equipment, such as bicycles, may come within the definition of household goods and that, therefore, a trailer used to haul personal recreational equipment may also be included in that definition. Accordingly, the voucher may be certified for payment if otherwise correct.
