Approval and Review of Accounting System

GAO was asked whether the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation is required to have a GAO review and approval of its accounting system as described in the General Accounting Office Policy and Procedures Manual for the Guidance of Federal Agencies. GAO concluded that the corporation does not need GAO approval of its accounting system.
