Claim for Arrearages of Military Retired Pay

GAO advised the Department of Justice of a factual error concerning arrearages of military retirement pay submitted in litigation between the U.S. Court of Claims and the deceased's estate. An error had been made in the total gross amount of the retired pay arrearages due in this case. GAO will not pay the plaintiff the military retired pay due the deceased at the time of his death except by authorized settlement of this suit.
