Concern Over FAA Development of an In-House Capability for Instrument and Equipment Calibration

Questions were raised regarding the Federal Aviation Administration's approach to developing an in-house calibration capability. Although GAO was unable to reply substantively to the specific questions raised, general information regarding federal policy in contracting such programs was provided.
