Highlights

The Postal Service has received an increasing number of inquiries from lessors about the consequences of unanticipated increases in inflation, but has declined to renegotiate leases solely to soften the effects of current economic conditions on its lessors. The Postal Service is currently considering what steps it might appropriately take to afford some measure of relief in all deserving cases, particularly those with long-term arrangements, entered into before the advent of the current inflation.
